Due to the covid 19 pandemic the First Zurkhaneh Sports Competition  was held virtually for 2 days 19th and 20th September streaming live from Tehran
Over 20 countries participated including Kenya, Iran, Tanzania, Uganda, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Canada among others.
The online event aim to promote the spirit of peace and friendship and establish strong partnership with different countries in promoting Zurkhaneh sports.
The Kenyan team gathered at Iran Embassy Nairobi for the competition to showcase their Zurkhaneh skills
The Ambassador of Iran in Kenya Dr.Jafar Barmaki who graced the event was very supportive to the Kenyan team from the onset.
Winners will be awarded 1st will get 750 dollars the 2nd winner 500 dollars and the third will get 300 dollars together with the
Certificate of participation.
