Brothers and Sisters,
I would like to greet all of you on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the sad death of Imam Khomeini (R.A).
My topic today is about the role of Unity of Islamic Ummahagainst Zionism in View of Imam Khomeini and Ayatullah Khamenei.
Unity is one of the most important human values not only in Islam but of all other religions.
The issue of Unity of Muslims is the focal point of Islamic teachings and it is considered as a religious obligation.
The Almighty God makes it an obligation for Muslims to be in unity, to live like brothers, not to be separated, to be friends with one another, and not to quarrel among themselves.
One of the most important things that Imam Khomeini, (R.A)emphasized, from before the victory of the Islamic revolution to the last days of his life, was the unity of the Ummah.
He instituted the Hafta-e Wahdat (Unity Week) each year in Rabi al-Awwal, marked by annual Unity Conferences in Tehran.
Imam Khomeini always considered returning to Islam and uniting as a condition to saving the Islamic World and blocking Zionismplans.
While stressing that the main goal of Israel is the destruction of Islam, Imam repeatedly called on the Muslims to put aside all their differences, including the religious ones.
Unfortunately today, the Muslim world is not in good shape.
Throughout the Islamic world Muslims arekilling their own brothers.
From yemen, Syria, Libya and almost all the Islamic Countries there is great crisis.
The Islamic world today is clearly disunited and its one of the core reasons I think the Ummah is weak today.
Today it is not a surprise to see some Muslim leaders seeking friendship with the enemies of Islam and plot for Muslims to fight with their fellow Muslims. This is very unfortunate.
I must say that these disputes, conflicts and division in the Muslim world is a plot by the enemies of Islam — a mission by the imperialists and Zionists — who are afraid of the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
They are actively involved in disuniting us, to weaken and destroy us.
The enemies of the Islamic world have resorted to the tactics of creating divisions among Muslim states and selling them deadly weapons under the pretext of fighting terrorism, but actually to establish their own footholds for domination of the region.
Iran is perhaps the only country that has maintained consistent and uncompromising stand on America’s policies since the Islamic revolution in 1979.
While Washington has used many arm-twisting tactics and bullying methods to pressurize Iran into following its line, Tehran has refused to play along.
Quite unfortunately, many of the powerful Muslim-Arab states have become its pawns in this sinister game.
Today, Muslims are getting killed in Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Iraq, Myanmar etc and the Muslim leaders are silently watching the spectacle.
The takfiri phenomenon that has erupted in the Middle East and parts of Africa is the creation of the imperialists and Zionists and their puppets in the Arab world.
Iran has embraced its neighbors Iraq, Lebanon , Syria and Afghanistan to cooperate with them to fight this menace.
The time has come for the Muslim world to reconsider its situation.
We must seriously consider the issue of unity. America’s and Zionist threat today is not directed against just one or two Muslim countries; the threat is directed against all of us.
If we stay together, if Islamic governments and Muslim nations – whether Shia or Sunni are honest with one another, take each other as a brother then this unity will give a powerful blow to the United States and the Zionist regime.
Otherwise, the plots of our enemies who are having sleepless night in their mission to divide us will continue to succeed in front of our naked eyes.
